Marie Gairet<\/h1>

Marie Gairet<\/strong> is a multifaceted artist: singer, pianist, performer, and composer<\/strong>, she embodies the fusion of two musical worlds that seem entirely opposed: classical and jazz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After refining her art at the Haute \u00c9cole de Musique de Lausanne under the guidance of professors such as Brigitte Balleys and Sara Breton-Lazarus, she distinguished herself in both disciplines, collaborating with renowned artists such as Natalie Dessay, Sandrine Piau, Yvan Cassar, Mathieu Michel, Marylin Mazur, Viviane De Farias, and Mauro Martins.<\/p>\n

She is regularly invited to appear on RTS<\/strong> radio, with her duo Ru\u011da (accordion\/vocals), in programs such as “Kiosque \u00e0 musique,” “Master sur les Ondes,” and on Espace 2 with “La Note Bleue.”<\/p>\n

Recently, Marie Gairet broadened her horizons by traveling to Ghana, where she immersed herself in a vibrant new musical culture. This experience led her to collaborate with local musicians, resulting in performances at festivals such as Nova Jazz<\/strong> and Cully Jazz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2024, Marie Gairet had the opportunity to take part in the DKSJ<\/strong> project, a dynamic gathering of students from several Swiss schools, from Basel to Lucerne, including Zurich and Lausanne. Led by Chris Cheek, this experience culminated in a tour across these various cities. Today, she is touring with the Marie Gairet Septet<\/span>, a project where French chanson, jazz, and classical music come together.
