Marie Gairet Septet

Marie Gairet Septet is a poetic and lyrical jazz project where French chanson meets the elegance of classical music and the improvisation of jazz. Led by singer and composer Marie Gairet, the ensemble explores soundscapes carried by subtle harmonies. The group blends arrangements and original compositions with nuance.

Inspired by artists such as Youn Sun Nah and Elina Duni, as well as Édith Piaf, Marie Gairet navigates between lyrical influences and contemporary jazz, moving spontaneously from one register to another. Her writing, both poetic and introspective, weaves intimate stories, sharing these states of mind.

The artist performs her works surrounded by her six musicians: Cyprien Morel (guitar), Léo Bortolotti (saxophone), Victor Decamp (trombone), Yves-Yann Lavaly (piano), Nicolas Bircher (bass), and Gabriel Deloffre (drums).
